For 2010, Junto designed a Christmas Tree Peg Puzzle game. Each child was able to customize their gift during assembly by choosing from the many colored pegs and colored glitter. And for all you eco-fans…the pegs were produced from recycled plastic, and the boards made from scrap MDF!
As we found out with our 2009 gift, we have completely underestimated the time required to fabricate 200 triangles, drill 3000 holes, and finally… to paint all sides green! :) To this day, John still has sawdust in his hair, Bill's hands closely resemble those of Kermit the Frog, while Kristina and Angela are coated with spray mount and glitter! Good time were had by all!
As an annual holiday tradition.. Junto enjoys volunteering for the Herman Miller sponsored We Care Event, to benefit the many children and families of the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay. In the spirit of giving, each of the 10+ gift stations offer a variety of hands on assembly ideas, allowing each child to construct a gift for a family member of their choosing. Once assembled, each gift is wrapped and ready for delivery on Christmas Eve!
